TELOK BLANGAH HDB, SINGAPORE

The Client: a young Singaporean businesswoman

The Brief: an e-design project covering four spaces in an HDB flat: living space, dining space, sunroom and master bedroom

The Budget ($-$$$$): $$

The Inspiration: a fun, slightly preppy palette of pinks and indigo in the living space, incorporating framed textiles and lots of natural finishes; a neutral and textural sunroom with leafy botanicals and good storage; and a monochrome master bedroom incorporating oversize climbing photography and a new built-in wardrobe.

The Verdict: ‘I’d never heard of the e-design concept until I met Elly, and I’m beyond glad that I did before I even started thinking about renovating my new flat! Elly really listens to her clients’ needs (both practical and stylistic) and works within their budget. She has come up with clever work-arounds and clued me in to great suppliers, and international styles that I did not know about. I don’t know of any other designer offering services of such a technical and artistic nature in Singapore.’
